Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 17, 2026 Last updated: August 15, 2026
Formulate Success ("Formulate Success," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to formulatesuccess.co and to the emails we send. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for commercial email, Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Who we are
Formulate Success is a one-person marketing consultancy based in Alberta, Canada.
Email: privacy@formulatesuccess.co
If you have a question about your privacy or this policy, email the address above and we'll respond.
What information we collect
We only collect what we need to do the things below. Information you give us directly. When you fill out a form on our site — for example, to download the 7-Point Trust Check, book a Clarity Call, or send a message — we collect the information you enter, such as your first name, email address, and anything you choose to include in a message. Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site. This is done through cookies and analytics tools (see "Cookies and analytics" below). We do not collect payment card details on this website, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information.
Why we collect it and how we use it
We use your personal information to:
deliver the resource or information you asked for, such as the 7-Point Trust Check;
send you emails you've consented to receive, including a short follow-up sequence and occasional updates;
respond to your inquiries and schedule and hold Clarity Calls;
operate, maintain, and improve the website and understand how it's used;
meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Consent and your email choices (CASL)
When you submit a form asking us to send you the Trust Check or other information, you're giving us your express consent to email you at the address you provide. Every commercial email we send identifies us, includes our mailing address, and has a working unsubscribe link. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or by emailing privacy@formulatesuccess.co. We honour unsubscribe requests promptly and, in any case, within 10 business days as required by law. Withdrawing consent for marketing email won't affect emails we need to send you about something you specifically requested, such as delivering a resource or confirming a booking.
Service providers we use
We use trusted third-party providers to run the site and our email. They only receive the information they need to perform their service for us, and they're not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Squarespace — website hosting and forms.
Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — email delivery, list management, and the forms that deliver our resources.
Google Analytics — website analytics.
Calendly — booking Clarity Calls.
Some of these providers are located in the United States or other countries, which means your information may be stored or processed outside Canada. Where that happens, your information may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities in those countries under their laws. Each provider maintains its own privacy practices, which you can review on their websites.
Cookies and analytics
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly and to help us understand how visitors use the site. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do. We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, in aggregate. You can opt out of Google Analytics across websites by installing Google's browser opt-out add-on.
How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as long as required by law. If you unsubscribe and ask us to remove your information, we'll delete it from our active systems, except anything we're required to retain for legal or record-keeping reasons.
How we protect your information
We take reasonable administrative and technical steps to protect your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work with reputable providers and limit access to your information to what's necessary.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it;
ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete;
withdraw your consent to our use of your information, subject to legal or contractual limits.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@formulatesuccess.co. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children's privacy
This website and our services are intended for business owners and are not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected on this page. Please check back occasionally.
